What is Telemedicine?

If you’ve heard about human doctors using phone and/or video consultations to limit human-to-human contact during the COVID-19 pandemic - this is called telemedicine, and is available in veterinary medicine as well.

Under the Veterinary Council of New Zealand COVID-19 clinical operations guidelines, our clinic offers telemedicine consultations & phone triage for non-urgent health concerns under Alert Levels 3 & 4 only. Telemedicine consultations are only available for existing patients. Please note that there will be a consultation fee for this telemedicine phone service.

Contact us on 063588675 to book a telemedicine consultation with one of our veterinarians working remotely for less urgent conditions and re-prescription medication authorisations. Due to the high demand for contactless phone consultations during Alert Levels 3 & 4, we seek your kind understanding when you are phoning us for a telemedicine consultation as we may not be able to offer you an appointment within our previous time frames.

In order to keep our staff safe and healthy so that they can provide ongoing care for your pets, please note that we reserve the right to decline seeing anyone who refuses to abide by our COVID-19 health & safety operations protocol during this period.
